We believe Christian Education (Sunday School) plays a key part in the spiritual growth of children and young people as they grow up in this very pluralistic society. The Scripture is very clear in commanding “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it” (Proverbs 22:6). As a result, we have given high importance to the selection of teachers, the content taught in the classroom and evaluation of each student in his/her level of growth. In order to reach these goals, we look to provide teachers appropriate training through teacher seminars, Sunday School literatures, and Biblical training. Teachers are given opportunities to share their struggles and successes during our Sunday School meetings once in two months. We are blessed to have teachers who are accountable to authority and examples to the students they teach. Our Director, Bro. Sam John, has been tremendously used by God in providing strong leadership to the department. Bro. Reji Philip serves as Assistant Director. Along with a yearly competition in the areas of Scripture memorization, singing, short story, and preaching, our students are encouraged to work hard year long as we award a student of the quarter for each class for students who show dedication and value to learning and excel in their character and behavior.
