Pastor Baby Daniel is a man of God dedicated to building God’s kingdom. He has been serving in pastoral ministry for nearly four decades, and now serves as the senior pastor of Eben-ezer Church of God. His desire is to build the church of God with living stones that are examples unto others, will stand for sound doctrine, have a sanctified life and do not conform themselves with the things of this world. His vision for the church is that it should grow, not only in membership, but also in the expansion of missions work and church facilities.

Pastor Daniel was born on November 4, 1949 in the village of Iverkala near Kadampanad in the district of Kollam, Kerala, India. He grew up in a traditional Marthomite family, the youngest son of God-fearing parents who struggled to raise four children. In 1964, the family was going through many hardships and sought deliverance from the Lord through fasting and prayer. The Lord answered their prayers, and as a result of this experience, Pastor Daniel committed fully to the Lord, accepted Him as his personal savior and was baptized by the Holy Spirit. Pastor K. Yohannan from Ezhamkulam was the evangelist who guided him to the Lord.

While studying in high school his parents often told him that they did not have the financial resources to send him to college. However God called him for full-time ministry and opened a way for him to join a Bible School and study the Word. Though his father was able to give him only a Bible, two pairs of clothes, and a few rupees when he sent him to the Bible school in 1965, the Heavenly Father has been supplying all his needs and much more all these years. Pastor Daniel studied at Christian Mission Service Bible Institute in Kanyakumari District in Tamil Nadu from 1965 to 1967, where he obeyed the Lord in water baptism on December 12, 1965. He also studied at Mount Zion Bible College in Mulakuzha, Kerala in 1968 and 1969. In 1969 he was able to work for a few months as a missionary with India Every Home Crusade in Uttar Pradesh, proclaiming the message of salvation to thousands of villagers from several villages.

In 1970, Pastor Daniel started his ministry in the city of Bombay as the pastor of the Bombay – Mumbra Church of God. He was also able to serve in Bombay as the State Secretary and Office Administrator of the Church of God Northern Region. In 1976, he resigned from these duties and immigrated to the United States. Pastor Daniel became pastor of Eben-ezer Church of God in Philadelphia in December of 1976 and has been faithfully serving this church since then. He is an Ordained Minster with the Church of God (Cleveland, TN).

He married Sosamma George on September 19, 1976 and God blessed them with three children. Their second son, James, was called to be with the Lord following a drowning accident at the age of ten. Their eldest son, Jaison, his wife Jency, and their daughter Jessie continue to serve in various ministries of the church.

Pastor Daniel has learned through his life experiences that when God calls you for a ministry, He is faithful to provide for you the skills and the resources needed. His desire is to continue doing the work the Lord has entrusted him with, feeding the Lord’s sheep in the Church of God.
