The Church of God Family Training Hour (FTH) is an evangelistic and educational program sponsored by the local church to provide personalized and age-appropriate training for each member of the family. It sets forth a structure to provide each member of the family with a sense of belonging, to help develop talents, to channel the desire to serve, to promote spiritual growth, and to train for Christian service.FTH was started on Dec 23rd, 1981 with a few who gathered together at Bro. T. P. Chacko's residence in Upper Darby, PA with the following objectives:-
- To motivate a sense of mission, both spiritual and secular, in each member of the family.
- To mobilize the family for New Testament service and worship.
- To magnify the importance of God's word in family life.
- To maintain a fresh emphasis on the work of the Holy Spirit in directing family affairs.
- To minister to family needs and relationships.
- To encourage the youth in the church to be active participants in the church.
FTH was first started under the directorship of Bro Varghese Thomas. Currently, Bro. Jaison Daniel is serving as the director. Sister Jesly George, Bro. Jacob Baby and Bro. Shiju Vadakot are serving as Assistant Directors. Family Training Hour (FTH) meetings are currently held on the 2nd Saturday night of every month from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM in our church.
